Last year, over 700,000 people and 40,000 organizations in 71 countries participated in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community, and what better place to start than with Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF)? On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, you have the opportunity to support us in a tremendous way, by making a gift using the "Donate" link on the left of our homepage!
BWSF serves over one thousand (1,000) youth each year, and it’s critical that we maintain adequate resources to deliver on our promise of providing safe, quality programs. To do so, we rely heavily on in-kind donations and philanthropic organizations dedicated to increasing opportunities for youth in underserved communities, so we urge you to take the next step in supporting the involvement of our young girls and women in sport by supporting BWSF on #GivingTuesday.
