Temple Athletics & the American Athletic Conference Honor Professor Emerita Tina Sloan Green on NGWSD

Family and friends were on hand to see Multi-Hall of Famer Sloan Green honored during half-time of the Temple University Women's Basketball Game for National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).

Temple Owls legend Tina Sloan Green received the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Award for Impact on Women’s Sports at the Temple Basketball game.

Temple Athletics and the American Athletic Conference were excited to have Professor Emerita Tina Sloan Green attend our women’s basketball game on February 1 (7:00pm tip-off) at The Liacouras Center. During half-time of the game we recognized Sloan Green for her contribution to the advancement of women in sport. We had a short history of her contribution to both Temple Athletics and to women/girls participation in sport and presented Sloan Green with a plaque at that time. February 1, 2023 is National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).
