Staying Connected While #StayingHome

Dear BWSF Family,

We are in truly uncharted territory. With COVID-19, all of us are being challenged to develop new ways of having an impact on the communities we serve. But the BWSF family is resilient, and we remain committed to the work of providing access and development opportunities to black girls and women through sport.  Satisfying our Foundation’s mission is more important now than ever, as we learn to meet the evolving needs of the collective during the COVID-19 pandemic.

How can you help?

Support!

Your gift can support the evolution of our organization, as we expand our virtual offerings to meet the needs of the BWSF community.  Virtual skills programming for K-12 students, virtual parent and family orientation and resource sessions, and online forums for professionals and coaches are just some of the ways that your donation will have an impact.

Attend!

Our first virtual forum is this week, April 1 at 8:00 PMYou can register here.  We are excited to welcome a panel of sport and clinical psychologists who will help participants understand how to engage in self care, deal with anxiety and fear, and connect with resources while our communities stay in and stay healthy. We have another virtual forum on April 15 - more information to come!

Follow!

We will be live-streaming our virtual forums on Facebook...register for the event and give us a follow!  You can also find more updates about our programs by following us on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, and our update website (coming soon).

The BWSF is with you in solidarity.  Together, we will grow, learn, and strengthen our community during this time.
