Students from the 8th Grade of the Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin Middle School, NYC (LREI)

Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF) Co-founder Dr. Alpha Alexander had the pleasure of participating in a Social Justice Project, Gender Inequality In Sports with the Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin Middle School, NYC (LREI).

The eighth graders from the Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin Middle School, NYC (LREI) were engaged in a Social Justice Project, where they select, research, and work on behalf of a current human/civil rights topic important to them.  Their group chose the critical issue of Gender Inequality In Sports to focus on for their project.

Students conducted an informational interview with Hall-of-Famer Dr. Alexander. They were especially interested in learning about how women, and Black women in sports experience inequality, and how BWSF's organization is working to combat that inequality.

The youth were awesome! The future of the country is in good hands!
